Good News

I have Good News! Jesus is ALIVE! This is enough to make anyone that is truly a child of God dance for joy!. If you pay attention to the news, its mostly bad, and when there is something good to report, its tucked way back in the website or paper, you can hardly find it. But I have enduring Good news for you!, the Word of God is alive, relevant and ever fresh.. have you read your bible today?

What is Good News – some would say.. it depends on your perspective. however, if you are looking for the real good news, not the kind that is fleeting. You must go into Gods word. the bible is Good news.

For example to a sinner, Good news means Jesus took your sins so that you are forgiven and free! (by the way, we are all sinners, unless you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior). You have know however, that this free gift must be received!

In the same way, good news to a sick man means that Jesus took your sickness so that you might be made whole. if you believe this fact, then you are free. the bible said it this way : “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”(1 peter 2;24).

You however have to receive it. If I came to your birthday party and offered you a present, you must receive the present before you can enjoy it. The same thing, you healing has been purchased by the lord Jesus, but you still have to receive it.

Similarly,  “Good news” to those who are broken-hearted is that Jesus wants to mend your heart. It does not matter what your background is or what your religious affiliations may be (maybe you don’t even have a religion), Jesus came that you have have life – The abundant life.

 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and they may have it abundantly.”(John 10:10). This is Gods heart and love towards you.

Jesus Christ is the true GOOD NEWS because He came to meet all the needs of man. All other good news will fade and will only satisfy momentarily. Man (the human race) was on ‘death row’ spiritually, but Jesus Christ became our substitute and paid the price for sin for all people for all time. He epitomizes all that can be called good news by bringing salvation, healing, deliverance, protection, provision, sustenance and any other good thing that will be consistent with a godly life in God. The scripture said “he has come that we might have life and have it more abundantly” (John 10:10b).

Would you receive this good news today! Pray this prayer with me and say it loud ” Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Christ, the son of the living God. I confess my sins and ask you to come into my heart, be my Lord and savior” Amen. If you just prayed that prayer from your heart, as the scripture said, you got born again. find a good bible teaching church near you and get plugged in to a vibrant local church and grow in God!
